Ah yes, a new year has arrived, and with it, I suppose I can never help but start setting goals.
One of those goals is to write more, as there’s so much, I experience that I want to document here. I won’t waste a whole post lamenting my lack of effort; instead, I’d rather keep things upbeat and optimistic as I set my sights on the coming year and what I want to achieve. There’s plenty to recap from 2024, which I plan to write about in future posts, but here’s a summary of my vision and goals for 2025.
Health and Wellness
2024 was one of my worst years when it comes to my health. I had sustained a heart attack in the middle of the year, a lack of fitness and my constant struggle with my weight. I already lost a little weight, but the goal is to keep it off this year. I don’t want to have another heart attack or go back to the hospital. Every year I plan to go to the gym more often but honestly the motivation is never there. This year everything has changed with what happened to me last year.
Reading and Writing
2024 was not a great year when it came to reading books or writing anything down. As a matter of fact, I want to read more personal development books. Especially when it comes to becoming a better leader or manager. I already started early this year with a good book. My goal is to read 1 book at least every month and then write about it here on my blog, get it…!! That’s why I want to start my personal blog, to write more about my experiences and other cool stuff.
Traveling
Yes, my goal is to travel a little more than in 2024. I was planning on going to Germany for a family visit and due to my health, had to cancel the trip. I want to go to short trips maybe over the weekend to cities I have not been in the USA. Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia are all cities I have not been and want to see. Other than Germany, I would love to go other countries where I have not been yet…Hopefully 2025 will be the year for me.
Closing Thoughts
So, that’s what the next year looks like for me. Kudos to you if you’ve made it this far—this post turned out longer than I expected! I think it captures my goals and plans for 2025, and this blog will help keep me accountable. Welcome along for the ride!
