The 2024 Miami Dolphins season is over, and it was another disappointing year for the team. Even though the team finished 2nd in the AFC East with a record of 8-6. it was in my eyes a disappointing season after much promise the previous year. The previous they ended with a record of 11-6 and it going to be a promising year.
The Dolphins failed to make the NFL playoffs for the first time in three seasons after the Denver Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18, extending their 23-year playoff victory drought which is the longest active drought in the NFL. The Dolphins also suffered their first losing season since 2019.
The Dolphins’ 2024 season fell short of expectations, but the organization remains optimistic about its ability to rebound. With an offseason dedicated to reinforcing discipline, improving leadership, and addressing roster vulnerabilities, Miami aims to return to playoff contention in 2025. For McDaniel, Grier, and the players, the focus will be on creating a culture that values accountability and fosters success on and off the field.
Whether the Dolphins can overcome their challenges and finally secure their first playoff victory since 2000 will depend on their ability to learn from this season’s missteps and implement meaningful changes.
Let’s see what the off season brings and wait until the next season.
